Given that HYDPOWER'S has vast hydraulic system knowledge, we would like to share some of the basic elements that make up the fundamental principles that hydraulics are built upon through our Hydraulic Training program.
We offer a number of hydraulic training courses that can be delivered in a number of ways including:
- On site at your business
- Webinar style at a pre-agreed time
- Conventional Online training
With some courses we use an online training partner to assist with the delivery. This is because we want you to get the best of the training and each & every module.
- Hydraulics 101 – a basic introduction to hydraulics
- Hydraulic Troubleshooting
- Industrial Hydraulics
- Mobile Hydraulics
Our Hydraulics 101 training is a comprehensive guide to best practice, installation, commissioning and maintenance of hydraulic systems.
- Why Use Hydraulics
- Everyday applications
- Basic Hydraulic Principals including: Power, Flow, Pressure, Control, Direction & Force
- Hydraulic Design Principals Including: Formulae, Basic Calculations, Efficiency & Line Sizing
- Hydraulic Construction including: Power Units, Valving, Hoses & Cylinders
- General Safety Information
- Maintenance: Cleanliness & Contamination
- Servicing: Frequency, Settings & Filtration
- Assembly & Commissioning Procedures
- ‘Ask The Trainer’: An open Q&A session with the trainer taking any questions from the floor

Hydraulic Troubleshooting course
This course covers understanding the systems, using schematic diagrams, installation procedures, cleanliness and safety. Includes tubing cutting, bending, and flaring, identification and selection of proper fluid, and charging the system. It also discusses planned maintenance, specific repair/replacement recommendations, system diagnosis & troubleshooting.
This course is only available in the online format.

Industrial Hydraulics course
This online course begins by introducing the physics of applied hydraulics, hydraulic components, and applications. It explains how a simple system functions, including symbols and basic formulas. It concludes with the subject of proportional control, including types of proportional-control valves. This Industrial Hydraulics course is available in the online format only.

Mobile Hydraulics Course
This course introduces the physics of applied hydraulics, hydraulic components, and applications. It explains how a simple system functions, including symbols and basic formulas. It discusses the components in the hydrostatic drive transmission and examines open-versus closed-centre circuits and the functional description of forward, neutral, and reverse drive circuits. It concludes with the subject of proportional control, including types of proportional-control valves.
