AGRICULTURE
From the early years where we designed and installed hydraulic based dairy equipment to assist with the milking process, HYDPOWER has excelled in the agricultural industry. For instance, we supply one of the largest wool compression manufactures with a range of custom designed & standard components. Nowadays, we find ourselves as leaders in the boom spraying & viticulture arenas, designing and supplying leading-edge hydraulic systems that assist in the critical fertilization of vines & crops. Amongst our many challenges here was giving due consideration to ambient temperatures & the spraying environment.
BULK HANDLING
Staying within realms of agriculture, HYDPOWER has been heavily involved with the development of a number of bulk handling system for swift movement of grain from trucks to major storage facilities. Our work is perhaps best illustrated in the image to the left. Here we were engaged by one of the major grain corporations to re-engineer the product they had so that it would double the capacity in terms of volume and thereby speed up the process of unloading time conscious deliveries to the huge storage plants.
INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS
One of our biggest growth areas in the past years has been that of Industrial hydraulics. Experience has shown us that many specialist engineering firms have vast knowledge when it comes to broad ideas of designing a machine to carry out a specific task. However, when it has been identified that a design will need to incorporate hydraulics as a way of inducing movement or pressure, we are often contacted & engaged to help. One of the largest single machine products we consulted on can be seen below. This $1m plus monster was shipped to a client in NZ upon completion and from our side contained over 1000 hydraulic components all working in perfect harmony.
MOBILE HYDRAULICS
HYDPOWER has both on-road & off-road experience when it comes to mobile hydraulics. By their nature, mobile hydraulics usually need to be operated by human interface and not automated.
On-road: Our experience is primarily with trucks. Specifically, those that have the ability to tip their load by raising the bed of the trailer. We have helped a number of fleets with this type of application.
Off-road: This area has seen us carry out some very innovative assignments. Probably our largest off road contract was to work with Mantis project (see image on left) shipping container filling system. Capable of filling 20 & 40 shipping containers from just about any source. It can load trucks on the ground so no need to offload containers. HYDPOWER’s nose to tail involvement has helped deliver another leading edge product for our clients.
CONSTRUCTION
Our final area of operation is that of construction. We were involved from day one with a company that designed & built a smaller skid steer loader. This great machine is the narrowest in its class making access challenges much easier. HYDPOWER designed, commissioned and set up production sets for the company and then continued to supply them with first class components.
